New 2020-21 Season Coaching Requirements
Effective September 1, 2020, coaching requirements at tournaments will be as follows:
To Coach at ANY NY-USAW event, you will be required to have a valid USA Wrestling Leader Card membership, including updated SafeSport and background check.
To coach at a youth event (14U and younger) you will need a Copper Coaches Certification to receive a free coaches pass.
To coach at high school level events (16U / Junior) you will need a Bronze Coaches Certification to receive a free coaches pass.
A Silver or Gold level coaches Certification holders will continue to receive free coaches passes at any NY-USAW event.
Coaching requirements for the 2019-20 Season.
The NYUSA Wrestling Board, in an effort to keep the interest and safety of its wrestling members its number one priority, has implemented the following coaching requirements at all NY-USA Wrestling Events.
Coaching passes will be provided as stated below to those holding the specified certifications.
Bronze Level and above USA Wrestling Coaches Card/Certification: Coaches pass Free of Charge
Copper Level and below USA Wrestling Coaches Card/Certification: $20 for coaches pass
No USA Coaches Card: Not allowed to coach in the corner
