2023 Super 32 Champion/2024 NYSPHSAA State Champion Will Make a Home in Iowa City

Overview

Congratulations to Nationally-Ranked Pleasantville senior, Adriana Palumbo, on her commitment to the 2x Defending NCWWC National Champion Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday afternoon!!

Taking her formal official visit to the Iowa City based campus on April 10th; when FloWrestling #16 national Big Boarder [Palumbo] received the call from Head Coach, Clarissa Chun, in late-March; it served as the highlight (thus far) of a senior year that unfortunately has been devoid of "good news" due to injury....

Having already proven herself capable of being a collegiate All-American out of the gates next winter; Palumbo expressed her deep appreciation to all of the programs that actively recruited her; but in her heart; she knew from the moment she hung up her phone; her ambitions to be the best were going to lead her to the Mecca of United States' Women's Wrestling!!!

Without question the gender-for-gender FINEST REMAINING Empire State prospect on the market from the class of 2025; the "Panther Princess" had been a consensus top-5 ranked competitor for much of the past two years in the USAW Girls HS national polls prior to being shelved for the entirety of the 2024-2025 campaign!!

The 145-pound Bronze medalist at the 2023 NYSPHSAA Girls State Invitational as a sophomore; since absorbing this lone loss in Syracuse; the Paswell Trained (GPS) standout has been on ferocious tear that witnessed her achieve the following:

*2023 NHSCA Women's National Runner-up
*Back-to-Back Fargo Jr. AAs (6th in '23, 4th in '24)..Now a 3x AA
*2023 Journeymen Fall Classic Women's Hammer Winner
*2023 Super 32 Women's National Crown
*2024 NYSPHSAA Girls Invitational State Gold
*2024 USAW Women's Nationals U20 4th
*2024 Blatnick Women's Junior FS Title
*2024 Portuese/Northeast Regional Junior Gold
*2024 Journeymen Women's World Classic Queen

Her SRC Arena coronation in January 2024 coming in an emphatic and/or "leave no doubt" manner; Palumbo never went the distance in any of her four bouts; as she registered falls in times of 1:55, 5:26, and 5:06 in the quarterfinal thru finale rounds against a capable field comprised of: Esmerelda Braman (2025 State 4th for Hadley Luzerne), Mikaela Tepley (2x State placer/3rd in '25 on behalf of Town of Huntington), & present 23rd-ranked in the country/3x State medalist/2x finalist/2025 champ, Michaela Thomas (Iroquois)!!!

Track Record of Success

Her collection of blue chip/prominent head-to-head triumphs too immense to properly credit in full; just an abbreviated "hit list" of the upper tier opponents she has toppled include:
