TICKETS ON SALE FOR 2008 U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM
TRIALS FOR WRESTLING – Tickets are now on
sale for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Wrestling and Judo, set
for the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev., June 13-15. All
sports fans should order their tickets now in order to get the best
seats for this exciting event.

ELECTIONS TO BE HELD FOR USA WRESTLING STANDING
COMMITTEES – Elections will be held at the
next USA Wrestling Board of Directors meeting to fill position on
several Standing Committees including: Finance, Sports Science, USA
Wrestling Mark! eting, Legislative and International Exchange. The
chair of th! e Insura nce Committee will also be elected. Deadlines
for nominations is July 13.

ESPNU TO AIR U.S. WORLD TEAM TRIALS ON JUNE 28
– ESPNU will air a two-hour show from the United States Marine
Corps U.S. World Team Trials, with the first airing scheduled for
Thursday, June 28 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. Additional airings will
follow. Action will feature all three Olympic styles of wrestling.

DEADLINE FOR BEACH NATIONALS HOST HOTEL IS JUNE
23 – Those seek! ing a room at the Quality Inn, one of the host
hotels for the U.S. Beach Nationals, must order their room by
Saturday, June 23. After that date, the room block is not available.
Organizers have informed competitors that there is a high demand for
all hotels in the city and surrounding areas that weekend, and to
order your rooms now.

COLLEGE SPORTS COUNCIL ASKS FOR TITLE IX
CLARIFICATION – The College Sports Council, along with the
Pacific Legal Foundation, have asked the U.S. Department of
Education to clarify that Title IX’s compliance standard for
colleges, known as the three part test, does not ! apply to high
school sports.

2007 ASICS HIGH SCHOOL ALL-AMERICAN TEAM NAMED
– Led by repeat First Team selections Zach Sanders, a five-time
state champion from Minnesota, and Cody Gardner, a four-time state
champion from Virginia, the ASICS High School All-American Team for
2007 has been announced. This is considered the top honor for
America’s high school wrestlers.
