FILA CLARIFIES GRECO-ROMAN CLINCH PROCEDURES - FILA, the international wrestling federation, has clarified the rules and procedures regarding the clinch position in Greco-Roman wrestling. All wrestlers and coaches are asked to read the document and work with the new rule.

SOUTHEAST JUNIOR REGIONALS SET FOR BRANDON, FLA. - USA Wrestling has moved the Southeast Junior Regional Championships to Brandon, Fla., March 31-April 2. The event was originally scheduled for New Orleans, La., but venue and hotel issues caused the move.

NATIONAL JUNIOR DUALS MOVED TO OKLAHOMA CITY - The Junior Dual Meet National Championships have been moved to Oklahoma City Univ. in Oklahoma City, Okla., June 27-July 3. The event had been held in Enid, Okla. for four years. The move will allow more options in hotels and restaurants for participating teams.

REQUIRED ONLINE REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE FOR LAS VEGAS EVENTS - All participants in the U.S. National Championships, the FILA Junior Nationals, the Veterans Nationals and the Western Junior Regionals set for Las Vegas, Nev. this year must register online in order to participate. DETAILED FREESTYLE RULES DVD NOW AVAILABLE TO PUBLIC - USA Wrestling's National Coaches Education Program has produced a detailed DVD on the new freestyle wrestling rules, with World Champion and National Coach Terry Brands providing specific instruction on tactics and strategies.

TEAM USA TO HOLD WORKOUTS DURING THE NCAA TOURNAMENT - Wrestling fans can see Freestyle Team USA holding workouts in a mini-camp during the week of the NCAA Championships, March 16-18. The workouts will be held at the Cox Convention Center in the NCAA Fan Fest area between sessions each day.

NATIONAL WRESTLING LEGENDS FUND SET UP TO SUPPORT WRESTLING - USA Wrestling and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame have combined efforts to establish the National Wrestling Legends Fund. This program allows people to support the programs of both organizations. Author John Irving is the Honorary Chairman. A special website has been set up for this new program.
