GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • Tournament open to NY residents only.
  • Entry Fee is $35.  There will be NO REFUNDS.
  • Checks payable to NY – USAW.
  • General Admission will be $10 adults / $5 children 7-14 yrs old (Maximum of $25 for family)
  • Medical Staff will be on site during the entire tournament.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

  • NO WALK-INS.  All Registration Forms MUST be filled out and sent in by Section Kids Director.
  • Registration deadline is February 25th.  All registrations must be received by the deadline.  No registrations accepted at weigh-ins.
  • No weight allowances.   Wrestlers must make the weight listed on the registration form.  There will be no moving up in weight – please make sure the proper weight class is entered on the application.

WEIGH-IN INFORMATION:

  • All wrestlers will wear a garment that covers groin area and buttocks.
  • Intermediate & Novice Divisions –
    • Weigh-Ins Friday, March 2nd from 4:00 – 8:00 PM
    • Wrestling on Saturday, March 3th
  •  Intermediate from 8:00 AM to completion
  • Novice from 12:00 PM to completion
  • Bantam & Schoolboy Divisions –
    • Weigh-Ins Saturday, March 3rd from 3:00 – 6:00 PM
    • Wrestling on Sunday, March 4th
  • Bantams from 8:00 AM to completion.
  •  Schoolboy from 10:00 AM to completion

TOURNAMENT RULES:

  • This is a sanctioned event by USA Wrestling and ALL competitors must have a current USA Wrestling Card.  Cards can be purchased on-line at the following link – https://www.themat.com/membership/
  • All participants should have a copy of their card and a copy of their birth certificate (if the card says “Pending”) with them at registration.
  •  Only Coaches with current USA Wrestling Cards will be permitted matside, with a MAXIMUM of 2 coaches per corner.  No cards will be available on-site.  They may be purchased on-line at the same link shown above.  Note – coaches are required to pass a Background check this year before the card will be issued.
  • Headgear, singlet and wrestling shoes (no sneakers) are mandatory.
  • Tournament seeding will be done using the automatic seeding points as shown on application form.  Wrestlers from the same team will be separated to the extent possible.
  • Awards will be presented to the top six (6) in each weight class by Olympic Gold Medalist – Jeff Blatnick!
